I picked up ACfa(for the PS3) about a month ago and have since been addicted to the fastpaced combat and the use of beam/bullet/missile spamming.
The opening movie showcasing White Glint’s awesomeness.
But one problem I found(besides the frame rate, and engrish/translation muck-up issues) was how in mission 38(Defend the Anti-Sattelite Batteries) where as soon as you destroy the first NEXT the mission ends.
Now the question is, why would From Software do this when it could be a FUCKING AWESOME mission if it only continued for a little longer.
To explain it briefly heres what your up against(in Hard mode btw):
-No. 2 Ambient-Linx Lillium Wolcott.
-No. 8 Strix Quadruped- Linx Wong Shao-Lung.
-A flying Arms-Fort that fires a massive laser cannon all the time.
-An entire squad of elite snipers(Still grunts lol).
But heres where it goes wrong:
-Mission ends as soon as Ambient is defeated.
-Your support can take down Ambient single handedly(meaning you could walk off, come back, and would’ve won)
-Your mission is to defend the targets so why should the mission end as soon a single target has been destroyed?
Besides this though its an alright game and is effectively a power-up of Armored Core 4 fo if you liked that game in the slightest sense, I’d reccomend it.
Was anyone irratated by this?
Btw, White Glint is awesome and I am definately buying the 1/72 kit that comes out in May.

Yeah, AC4 has problems with translation and how the subtitles for the woman you work with contradict what she says with the r/l problem.
But gameplay is freaking awesome! I can’t wait for fa’s price to go down some so I can buy it! Can you still choose from like a sniper unit?

One mistake I’ve also noticed in ACfa is how on White Glint’s page it continuously refers to the Lynx as a “she” but in the missions that its in the operator from the previous game refers to it as “he”.
-SPOILER-
This is due to White Glint’s Lynx being the protagonist from AC4.
-END SPOILER-
The choice at the start is a tad more limited as you can either pick a Sunshine(GA), Tellus(Interior Union), Lancel(Rosenthal, successor to the Hogire series), or an Aaliyah(Independant).
You can still use a sniper unit though, but you’ll have to either build it from scratch, or do a few missions in order to unlock BFF’s range.
The gameplay is also a step ahead as you can effectively boost and beam spam forever.
Another good thing is that every company(Rayleonard is still there in a sense as they had their researchers hired by Omer) has made new crafts, and that each company is exploring new weapon types(Interior Union laser blade, BFF laser sniper rifile/missiles, Rosenthal laser blade/ laser rifile are just a few to name).
