Might as well cover this arc.

“Don’t Put your wallet in your backpocket”
First of all this arc begins like all of the previous arcs, in which you have the first episode being primarily build up. The first episode in an arc in Gintama will tend to introduce a few more characters for this arc and be comedy based in the first half before being serious in the second half.
On to the actual episode itself…

1/100 00-Raiser

Pros:
- Easy to mod.
- Easy to build(took me a day to build, including painting).
- LEDs are nice(They glow~).

Cons:
- No waist joint, not really a problem but it does limit poseability. You can add one with a saw, putty, and a piece of the runner if your skilled enough.
- Crappy neck joint, Bandai should have stuck with the season 1 neckjoints.
- Feels as if the 0-Raiser was made to dock with the 00-Gundam but the 0-Gundam wasn’t made to dock with the 0-Raiser(GN-drive attachments fall off a lot).

Lulz/Wtf:
- Two sets of hands are included, one set for holding weapons, and another set of clenched fists that don’t really suit a purpose.

Conclusion:
Bandai knows we like things that glow.

I will be updating this post once I’ve seen the raw again. In short this is just a quick type up from when I watched the stream.

1/72 White Glint: the reservations begin

Hobbysearch has begun the reservations for the Kotobukiya 1/72 White Glint kit. The price seems to be less than what the magazine scan said(6460 Yen). For those wondering about the Quality of Kotobukiya’s Armored Core variable infinity kits, I’d have to say that they’re pretty good(I have a 1/72 Hogire kit myself).

First of all these were not scanned by me and I’d like to thank superrobotwar for supplying the torrent. All I did though was some lazy photoshopping to join the two pages together. Anyway onwards:

1/72 White Glint Dengeki Hobby Jan 09 scan

Found this when I was flicking through Dengeki Hobby Jan.
For those wondering it will be released in May and costs 8190 Yen excluding shipping. Personally the only thing putting me off getting this would be the price considering its twice that of a MG.
However the fact that all the overed boosters are capable of being opened up seems to be a plus.some more.

Gintama Director announces that he won’t be working on the series for Spring 09

Gintama director Yoichi Fujita revealed that he won’t be directing  the series in the Spring 09 season. However what made me uneasy was that he didn’t state whether another director would be taking his place, meaning the series could end :-(  . Yoichi Fujita has directed the series since episode 100, taking the role as the director from Shinji Takamatsu who co-directed episodes 100-105 and is now the project’s supervisor. When asked how they were going they responded:

Takamatsu: This is the first time in a long while that I haven’t been busy directing at the beginning of a new year, so I like to do something relaxing. After all, directing work has gotten so hectic. Well, how about you, Fujita-kun?

Fujita: For starters, I won’t be working this spring, so I think I’ll be going to the Hello Work office. ["Hello Work" is the euphemistic name for the Japanese government's employment service centers.]

I watched this on KeyHole TV so it lagged a bit, if theres a raw under 210 Megabytes on tokyotosho, I’ll download it rewatch it and redo this summary. Regardless though, onwards…
