The website for the Gintama movie has opened and can be seen here, and the opening date will be during Golden Week 2010. The movie will also tell a new version of the Benizakura arc.
I guess the joke trailer for a Benizakura movie wasn’t really a joke afterall.

i forgot how many eps the arc was, but it was more than 3. i hope they dont cut out too much. i want some new scenes and a revamped anti-benizakura turd katana(forgot its name lol) too =)

I think it was 3-4 which if you cut out the opening and ending, would leave around 90 minutes including the credits/Shura, so not much will need to be cut out. Unless they really are telling a new version of the Benizakura arc in which case a lot will be cut out and replaced with new scenes. I just hope they at least reanimate some parts if they don’t add any new scenes.
Not sure whether the sword that Gintoki used even had a name or not…
