Gintama 183

Gintama183-stitchThanks to 2chan for the screenshots.

Shinpachi continues to run to find Gintoki.

He then suddenly transforms into something from Fist of the Northstar and there’s a mini opening and introduction sequence in this style. The world then begins to sway and fades away again.

The real opening has been redone in MSpaint.

Shinpachi is back to normal and when he arrives at Gintoki’s house the place is a mess. He then sees all Otose and Caren with the citizens of the redlight district who want to improve their rank. Shinpachi then tries to run away over the rooftops but falls into an alleyway.

Before they catch him he is rescued by Gintoki and Sougo who take him to their hideout where Kagura and Hijikata are as well.  They kick Hijikata out since he doesn’t really care about his rank. Kondo and Hasegawa are also there but have changed into Kagura and Takasugi’s clothes. Katsura is in handcuffs due to unknown reasons, it has something to do with cycling through a wildlife park. Sadaharu is beating up Elizabeth.

They take refuge in a hotel where they decide to protect their ranks, when they part both the Yorozuya and the Shensengumi intend to wipe each other out to dominate the top positions.

While drinking on the roof Shinpachi spots Tsukuyo now at no.9. Otae, Kyuubei, and Saachan are just ahead. They pass by eachother, Tsukuyo knocks Otae’s no.15 off. Tsukuyo offers her, her no.9 but she turns it down. The she breaks the no.9 so that they can share it.

This turns out to be their plan as they will get higher ranked characters to join their ‘idol group’, Diamond Perfume until they’re no.1. Shinpachi’s empty drink can falls off the roof and he’s attacked with throwing knives when he runs away to warn everybody, he is met by Sougo who has his sword to Shinpachi’s throat, and Hasegawa hanging naked from the cieling his rank having been reduced to no.256.

The rank numbers were updated for the ending theme.

    @ PBS
It really is a must watch, it’s simply epic. The staff really know how to use their supposedly low budget.

    @ Fukki
Yeah, I think the last time she showed up was in the episode for her birthday party. Characters just seem to disappear and then reappear after so many episodes.

I really like her I dont know why, its so funny when she says stuff really serious but completely nonsense, about disappear and then reappear after so many episodes, there are some characters like sakamoto that appears in every opening but never shows up, he didnt show up for like 100 episodes or more lol.

  5. Ginnodangan says:

She is a pretty fun character.

Katsura also disappeared for a good few episodes a while ago as well and Takasugi and Kamui have hardly really shown up in some time, since they’re villains they’re excused though.

I think it could be mainly be attributed to the increase in the amount of arcs since for the most part they each only focus around so many characters.

  6. fukki says:

yeah, I wish sorachi went more serious more often, gintama is excellent the way it is but to tell the truth, when things goes a little bit more serious I think it turns so much better, thats why arcs like benizakura and yoshiwara are always casted as best gintama arcs, no surprise the movie is about benizakura.

  7. Ginnodangan says:

More serious arcs would always be good since Sorachi tends to handle them well, and their lengths make them well suited to movies. They don’t even have to include the main villains either, the Jiraia arc proved this by introducing a new villain and making it personal, and then there are the arcs that are simply tear inducing.

  8. fukki says:

youre right! man he could start doing something to tell us about gintoki’s past, OVAS or manga chapters like rurouni kenshin

  9. Ginnodangan says:

Something sort of like what Oda is doing for the latest One Piece movie would be good for his past, a Gintama movie/OVA series with Sorachi overseeing it’s production and writing the story. Even if it only focused on stuff we already knew.

I haven’t seen/read Rurouni Kenshin yet, so I don’t know how the flashback OVAs were handled.

  10. It’s awesome to go to see this web page and reading the views of all mates about this post, while I am also
    eager of getting experience.
