Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood movie Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer that appeared on the official website for the movie that was confirmed at the end of the very last episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The movie itself will be titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Milos no Sei-Naru Hoshi (or the Sacred Star of Milos) and aside from the manga’s creator, Hiromu Arakawa being listed as the creator, Kazuya Murata (who had served as the episode director for a few episodes of Code Geass and Eureka seveN) has been listed as the director. The script will also be by Yuichi Shinbo and Kenichi Konishi will design the characters.

Romi Paku, Rie Kugimiya, Megumi Takamoto, Shinichiro Miki, Fumiko Orikasa, and Kenji Utsumi have been listed as returning to voice the characters they had voiced in the second series. As Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Winry Rockbell, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, and Alex Louis Armstrong respectfully.

Advance tickets will go on sale on the 22nd of November later this month, coinciding with the release of the 27th and final volume of the manga, and the movie itself will open in Japan next summer.

    so is this movie supposed to be like one of those random adventures at the beginning of the story where brotherhood completely skipped?
    it doesn’t look the slightest bit like the continuation of the show, and there shouldn’t be one either…

    I guess so, they’ve got a whole two to three years to mess around with before the actual present events of the series so would make sense if it was. The downside to that though is that we won’t get to see any of the particularly awesome characters that were introduced around the latter half. Like Ling or Olivier.

    If they were doing a continuation the only way I could see it being good is if they didn’t make it so Ed could use Alchemy again and if Hiromu Arakawa was heavily involved with it. Otherwise it would make the ending of the series itself pretty cheap, but that said it doesn’t need one as it ended well enough on it’s own.
