Nurarihyon no Mago 2nd Season greenlit

According to the 3rd/4th issue for Weekly Shonen Jump next year, a second season of Nurarihyon no Mago has been greenlit with more details to come.

For some reason I’m not really surprised about this, considering that the anime is supposedly doing alright and that the long running Kyoto arc just came to an end in the manga it was actually something I was expecting. So far from previous things related to the series, the wonderful Mamiko Noto has also been listed to play what would be the main antagonist, Hagoromo Kitsune. Something that I’m looking forward to as well as kind of worrying about.

they went quite a bit off track, and now they are going to pull off another season?
how to? doesn’t even make sense…although they didn’t really make it farfetched, but still…

  2. Ginnodangan says:

They did but they could still get away with it, since while they did change the way a few things happened at the same time they’ve made it that they ended in the same way. As an adaption by Studio DEEN I actually think that it turned out all right.

The only problem I see is that they wouldn’t be able to cram everything that happens up until the end of the Kyoto Arc into twenty five episodes. So it would need to be longer than the first season.
