TYPE-MOON Ace vol. 5 release date

May 7, 2010

A release date for the fifth volume of TYPE-MOON Ace, these usually consist of interviews and information related to their work along with some manga at the end like the All Around TYPE-MOON which features the characters from their works meeting in a cafe. And where the last  issue mainly focused on the Unlimited Blade Works movie it looks as if this one will focus on the yet to be released Mahou Tsukai no Yoru visual novel.

So it should be released on the 21st of June. I’ve also got a copy of the fourth volume so perhaps I could do a post on that despite in being released some time ago.

Souce: TYPE-MOON’s official site and Comptiq’s preview.

TM Ace vol 4 announced

October 27, 2009

tm-ace402

Looks like this issue will be focused around Fate/Extra and the Unlimited Blade Works movie where the last issue was mainly Mahoyo and Melty Blood focused. Hopefully it’ll contain some information on the Tsukihime remake.

So I’m guessing this will be released sometime December.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 28

October 18, 2009

Back to the manga’s storyline, this is sort of incomplete since Keyhole messed up.

FMA28-005

Temporary screenshots thanks to 2chan, expect tl;dr until they’re updated and it becomes less apparent.

Al and Gluttony arrive at father’s lair, and Al notices the resemblance between Father and Hohenhiem.

Insert typical fanboy stuff here…

July 26, 2009

TMAcev3

Looks like the third volume of Type-Moon Ace will be released on the 21st of August this year, and obviously from the cover it will contain new information on Mahou Tsukai no Yoru.

Along with stuff on Fate/Zero, Melty Blood: Actress Again, the PSP port for Fate/Unlimited Codes, the seventh Kara no Kyoukai movie and CANAAN. Generally what you can see on the cover above…

1/72 Noblesse Oblige and V.O.B. kits in August

April 14, 2009

1/72 kits of Noblesse Oblige and the Vanguard Overed Booster are now up for reservation and will be released in August.

10088517a15
Since I’ve already got a HOGIRE kit I’ll probably only get the V.O.B. This also kind of annoys me as Noblesse Oblige and its back cannons are awesome and I’ve always been a fan of Rosenthals rifiles not to mention that the stabilisers also look nice. However since the general frame is the same theres no point in me getting it.
Hopefully Kotobukiya releases a Noblesse Oblige add-on pack for the HOGIRE now, even though the chances of so are low.

1/100 Arios

March 19, 2009

I got this some time last week, but didn’t have time to build it.
Pros:
– Transforms easily.
– Double wrist joints.
– Torso joint.

Cons:
– Only a single rifile is included.
– I found the forearm vulcans to be a let down, as I expected a sliding mechanism instead there is psuedo part swapping.

Lulz/Wtf:
– GN-Drive is located in the pelvis.
– After including dual sets of hands in the Cherudim and 00, there was only one set included.

Conclusion:
Not really that much wrong with it, I actually found it to be along the same standards as the Cherudim. My only real complaint would be the forearm vulcans.
Concerning the single set of hands, the wrists use the same type of joint from the 00 so you could interchange them if needed.

Pictures are now up. Photography skills still suck.

Kotobukiya plans another Armored Core kit for June

March 12, 2009

Seems like Kotobukiya is going to push the Armored Core range this year, as they are going to release another Armored Core kit in June following White Glint. Don’t be surprised though, its just another Aaliyah variation. This time with a plasma rifile(Samsara), laser blade(Dragonslayer), and flares(051-ANAM). Oddly enough called “Surrplis”, its name sounds too familiar to “Supplice” from Armored Core 4.

Anyway you can get it at the usual places.

Newtype Mar 09 scans

February 25, 2009

Once again not scanned by me(clean version not done by me either). Because my copy hasn’t even been shipped yet, this also means that my 1/100 Arios hasn’t been shipped either.

0-Gundam, Nirvash type-zero, and TheEnd

February 4, 2009

So Bandai is making an 0-Gundam model but its in the robot damashii line which isn’t Gunpla.
Does this mean any hopes of an official 1/100 0-Gundam are dashed?, Besides theres no reason not to make one, as the pilot issue has already been solved.
EDIT: On a side note theres also the Nirvash Type-Zero and Nirvash Type-TheEnd in the range so I suppose its not that bad.

1/100 Cherudim

February 2, 2009

Usual lazy review where stuff will be added later on…

Pros:
– At first I thought this would suffer from SEED syndrome where the backpack is too heavy and it falls backwards, but the attachements on the feet can be shifted down to allow more stability.
– Rifile transformation is simple and smooth.
– Double wrist joints.
– Same joints as the season 1 Gundams(wrist and head).
– Yeah theres no waist joint, but theres an upper torso joint.

Cons:
– How the shield bits are displayed is limited.

Lulz/Wtf:
– Closed fists again.
– GN-Drive is located under the shield bits on the back.

Conclusion:
Pretty good so far Bandai seems to have fixed the wrist joint problem that was prevalent in the 1/100 Dynames, and used the joints as the season 1 Gundams as opposed to the 1/100 00-Gundams.

EDIT: PICS OF CHERUDIM ARE NOW UP.
