Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 34

Ed undergoes a checkup in the Briggs fortress where the dangers of automail and cold weather are explained, Buccaneer, the man who attacked them previously has his arm changed and Al’s head removed from it. Specialised automail is needed for these weather conditions.

They meet Olivier in the doctor’s office and she’s disappointed that her brother is doing well. They are unable to tell her everything so they keep their reasons for being there brief, and Olivier is interested in acquiring rentanjutsu.

They are guided by one of Olivier’s officers, Miles to find a job, he turns out to be part Ishvalan. He remembers Olivier’s speech about survival of the fittest. Ed narrowly dodges a falling icicle, they have to clean the ceiling of these and in doing so meet up with Falman who got restationed here. He got promoted and he shows them around the area where weapons are produced.

A maintenance worker hears a rumble underground which turns out to be Sloth digging underground and emerging.

Olivier gets a report about Kimblee and then the alarm goes off. Back to where and Ed and Al were being shown around where Sloth has emerged. Buccaneer fires a shot accusing them of being a Drachma spies, the nearby soldiers open fire on Sloth but the shots bounce off and he attacks.

He takes the elevator up to where the maintenance workers have prepared a barricade, and before either can attack Olivier shoots him with a Bazooka, she then boards a tank and opens fire, but Sloth instantly regenerates. Ed arrives and deflects debris with alchemy, he tells Olivier that guns won’t work but is still unable to tell her everything.

Olivier has a plan.

    yay i finally get to see sloth in action. he seems to be quite different from the other sloth lol.

    Yeah, his abilities are kind of bland in comparison to the Sloth in the previous series as well, strength and endurance is as far as it goes for him.

    I will say this in advance though, the yet to be seen Pride is kind of overpowered.

    my friend told me who pride is already, but i don’t know what he can do. i can’t wait to see some overkill powers then =)

    It won’t be a surprise when they reveal him then, I think there were a few parts where he talked in the manga from the shadows, that they cut out as well. It would have obviously spoiled it from the voice actor though.

    He’s easily the most powerful as Ed, Al and company only just managed to restrain him, but then again all of the homunculi could be considered overpowered in the right circumstances.
